THRESHOLD PHOTO SHOOT BRIEF 2026
We’re looking for eye-catching visuals to match our signature dark contrasty low-key look on a black backdrop. We'll have party equipment available and you're welcome to bring along your own toys, props (human or otherwise) and gear.
If you have an idea for something you want to do for us, or if you just want to offer your body and trust us to come up with something amazing, either/both work for us just fine. If you have any photos of a specific look or outfits you want to bring to the shoot, it would be great to see them! Links, Pinterest or email attachments are great ways to share them.
The selected images will appear on our website, our social media sites (FaceBook, Instagram, FetLife), our ticketing site, and anywhere else we can pimp our party! Sadly that visibility does mean we have to enforce some standards (errr... "community guidelines") regarding nudity and over-the-edge play.
MODEL INFO:
It's not paid work, but TF (trade for): You'll get a pass for the party the month you're featured on our promotions. We're also glad to ensure everyone has at least one digital personal photo of themselves from the day.
After the shoot, outtakes and promo candidates will be posted in a private password protected gallery. You can pick a handful of the non-candidates for you to have for your own (credited) use right away. For the promo candidates, they are “embargoed” until the image appears on our flyer, website, socials, etc; once released, you’re welcome to share that image as well.
Recognising the need for privacy, models are welcome to bring their own masks and hoods, have their back to the camera, wear a zentai suit, or exist in the shadows. Likewise, degrees of dress and undress are flexible.
All models will be required to sign a release (sample available here), allowing the photos to be used for Threshold’s online and other promotional purposes.
ABOUT OUR PHOTOGRAPHER:
Larry has been photographing the images for our promotions since Threshold's return in 2016. He has been taking photos since before he set up a darkroom in his parent's basement (which may or may not have been used for "other" purposes ) back in high school and has been active in the kink scene for over 25 years; first in NYC, and since 2006, here in Sydney.
He's quite good at working with "virgin" models who haven't been in front of a camera before, working with people who are not professional models, helping them relax and create amazing images, so don't worry about having experience to be in front of his camera.
